The Haleman Group members have an extensive background in the carpet and interior textile industry that spans over more than half a century.

Edward Haleman, the group president, has been professionally active in the flooring industry in excess of 55 years. His extensive background includes knowledge in furnishing fabrics, tufted and woven carpet, (specializing in Wiltons and Axminsters) installation, as well as resilient flooring including fine inlaid linoleum and custom vinyl floor tiles.

The areas of carpet expertise include various methods of carpet weaving, (having visited well over 50 manufacturing facilities) product sourcing, both domestically and foreign, as well as product design. Edward Haleman has lectured at the college level and is considered an expert authority in the flooring industry.

In 1971 he founded E.Haleman & Company which specialized in contract carpet projects and consulting for architects, designers, space planners and fiber producers for the carpet industry.

Mr. Haleman’s career includes working on key historic restoration projects for the United States Department of the Interior National Park Service, the Newark Museum, and in addition has consulted on matters for carpet in Buckingham Palace.

Most recently, and for the past 35 years, Edward Haleman has been the Sr. Vice-President and General Manager of Stark Carpet Corp. Having retired from Stark at the end of 2015 he has now taken an active roll as President of The Haleman Group.
